Easycare Pre-school has many facilities to offer indoors as
well as outdoors. Fully equipped classrooms, a lovely play area
outside and a homely and cosy crèche.
Hygiene and Safety
Easycare Pre-school prides itself on having
a very high standard of hygiene. We have taken this into account
in all the areas of the building as well as making it specific
to certain areas where different activities occur. This means
that we not only take the highest care with the hygiene of the
school but that we also teach the children about the importance
of personal hygiene.
Our baby play area has been separated from the older children
and PVC flooring installed which allows us to maintain our high
standards of hygiene. This type of flooring facilitates the
effective cleaning of the surface which is done regularly. It
also provides a pleasantly soft surface for the small children
who are crawling and learning to walk. The school sterilizes
the baby toys regularly and the baby-changing area is cleansed
after every nappy change with an anti-bacterial cleaning agent.
All soiled nappies are disposed of in closed bins and removed
to the outside bin immediately. The caregivers wash their hands
before and after every nappy change and regularly during the
day.
In the toddler classes, where little ones still need their afternoon
sleep, each child is allocated his or her own mat marked with
that child’s name. We also request a pillow and blanket
from home for each child which we keep in an allocated area
during the term. These are sent home regularly to be washed.
All the mats are covered with a protective sheet, which is washed
on a weekly basis unless it’s required sooner.
Our bathrooms are cleaned regularly during
the day and particular attention is paid to their cleaning after
potty-training sessions when little mishaps are a part of the
lesson.
Teaching children about personal hygiene from
an early age helps to prevent the spread of infections and diseases.
Because the most common way infections are spread is hand to
hand, children wash their hands after going to the bathroom,
play time and before eating. We also encourage them to use cutlery
when eating their food which teaches them independence, table
manners and reduces the chance of the spread of germs from hands
to mouth.
Hygiene and safety are both taken equally seriously.
Consequently all our caregivers have been trained in first aid.
Should a child become ill and display the following
symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, fever or a very severe cold -
we ask the parents to fetch the child immediately. This minimizes
the infection spreading to the other children. We also realize
that, when a child is ill, there is no better caregiver than
their mother or father.
We prefer that the child be kept at home until
the period of contamination has passed. Should the child still
require medication, but is no longer in the “contagious
phase”, he/she may return to school and we will make sure
that the medication is dispensed as directed.

Good nutrition and a balanced diet assists children to develop
healthy bodies. Easycare Academy Pre-school meal plans have
